Lasers deliver a high-intensity laser pulse into the hair follicles. That energy is converted to heat, which is absorbed by the hair, causing chromophores (called melanin or pigment) to be damaged and preventing future hair development. It’s a painless, efficient approach to remove hair without the discomfort or bother of conventional treatments such as waxing. After your initial set of treatments, you just need to maintain your smooth, hairless skin 1 to 2 times each year. Each session reduces hair growth by roughly 20%, which is why several treatments are required. In most situations, our clients get the desired effects within 6 to 12 sessions.

Hair starts falling out around 2 weeks following your treatment, but it’s critical to finish the required number of sessions for best results. Laser hair removal typically needs 6-10 sessions, depending on hair growth, hair type and colour, and removal region. Appointments for the face should be 4 weeks apart, while appointments for the body should be 6 weeks apart.

While laser hair removal is not a permanent cure, it does greatly inhibit future hair growth in treated regions. Hair will regrow sparse, thinner, and perhaps lighter in colour. For best results, we recommend maintenance treatments once or twice a year, depending on how your hair responds.

While laser hair removal has no downtime, you may notice some redness afterward. We recommend that you avoid the sun for two weeks before and one week after treatment.
